Feminist Art: Contemporary Perspectives

The Mosesian Center for the Arts is excited to present an exhibition of artworks that examine the idea of feminist art today. The work, inspired by the history of feminist art, is also very much of this time, reflecting on current issues of body politics, women’s rights, and environmental issues.

There is a present-day resurgence in feminist art, as well as an interest in the history of feminist art and its connection to current intersectional feminist political and art activism. Themes of the body, particularly the bodies of women and trans individuals, and how it is viewed in today’s society are open to re-examination. In addition, this exhibition examines the connection between contemporary feminist ideas and ecofeminism.
