Join us for the November installment of the new season of the Open Mic series in the MCA lobby and art gallery! The November theme is “Change” — we invite you to think about the magical, beautiful and sometimes painful process of change, how we grow and become who we are meant to be, transform, shift, adapt and adjust to new environments and new forms. Who knows what new talents we'll discover this time?

The show will be hosted by a wonderful friend and a long time Open Mic audience member Zoey Sloate! We are especially happy to announce that our feature act in November will be Andi Brown! Andi is an awarded writer, poet and a comedian who knows how to touch our hearts. He is passionate about equity in healthcare, medical humanities and the transformative power of story. In a matter of a few sentences, his artistic narratives have the power of reaching deep into our souls, and we look forward to what he can bring to us in this special show!  

The event is general admission, with some tables for sitting, some tables for standing, and maybe even a bit of a dance floor. Sign up to perform or come and enjoy the show on Wednesday, November 13. The doors open at 7:00 PM, and beer, wine, canned cocktails, soft drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase in our MBar throughout the show. Music starts at 7:30 PM
